Software Engineer

At QRC our team specializes in software engineering expertise to design and build enterprise-scale applications. Ranging from UI/UX solutions to distributed processing systems, the QRC team tackles the tough and unique problems of our customers by applying the latest and greatest methodologies.
Responsibilities
  • Lead the design and implementation of features with an obsessive focus on solving customer problems and operational excellence
  • Work with senior members of technical staff to drive architectural and best practices decisions
  • Write code and pair with engineers (more coding responsibilities when the team is small)
  • Grow and retain a team of talented, cross-discipline engineers
  • Manage your team's roadmap in collaboration with product managers and designers

Qualifications
  • Strong background in object-oriented or functional programming with Java, JavaScript, C/C++, Python, or Rust
  • Experience designing and developing APIs at scale
  • Experience with AWS services related to compute, storage, and event-driven applications
  • Experience with Serverless Framework or serverless development concepts
  • Experience with databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL and working with an ORM
  • Full-stack web development, including TypeScript/NodeJS, web-standards, and modern frameworks

We interact daily with the supported customer regarding technical considerations and requirements management to prevent issues or conflicts. At QRC our team is responsible for the technical integrity, quality, and completeness of work performed and deliverables for our customers and partners.
Responsibilities
  • Stakeholder Requirements Definition, Requirements Analysis, Architectural Design, Implementation, Integration, Verification, Transition, Validation, Operation, Maintenance, and Disposal;
  • Project Planning, Project Assessment and Control, Decision Management, Risk Management, Configuration Management, Information Management, and Measurement;
  • Project Portfolio Management, Infrastructure Management, Lifecycle Model Management, Human Resource Management, and Quality Management.
Qualifications
  • Varies depending on the level of system engineering to be performed, but generally an engineering degree from an accredited university or four years of system engineering experience.
Skills
  • Perform analysis of technical alternatives for a project and make preliminary recommendations.
  • Independently analyze, and recommend alternatives for elements of project’s technical design.
  • Supervise or coordinate the work of other contractor engineers or technicians on a project.
  • Analyze and propose appropriate engineering standards and processes for a project.

Data Analyst/Scientist

Responsibilities
  • Collecting data through means such as analyzing mission results or by setting up and managing new studies
  • Transferring data into a new format to make it more appropriate for analysis
  • Creating new, experimental frameworks to collect data
  • Building tools to automate data collection
  • Searching through large data sets for usable information
  • Creating reports and presentations for mission uses
  • Correlating similar data to find actionable results
Qualifications
  • Ideal candidate should have a degree in a quantitative field [website] mathematics, computer science, physics, economics, engineering, statistics, operations research, quantitative social science, etc.).
  • Basic Knowledge on software development principles and architecture.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving abilities.
